Tip on Axle Bearing Reamers

Both reamers work well to smooth out rough spots in axle bearing but will not cut the bearing holes deeper. I have Athearn 90404 trucks that I changed from roller bearing to friction bearing. The bearing holes were exposed at the very apex of the hole and partially filled with CA glue. I had to use a small drill bit to cut the bearing deeper so the reamer could actually remove the extra glue and smooth out the axle bearing. Now the trucks roll down a less than 1% grade on their own.
