These are the only two photos we have been able to find of the 27000 series XM5 box car. These 1947 box cars had the Diagonal Roof and were renumbered in the 1960's. Most were repainted in the gray paint scheme XML number 1500-1726. And 5 more, number 501-505. Our model is the 1950's paint scheme version.
